I HEART SKYPE!
I got to SEE my husband today!!!! He's still in Honduras, but we got to see each other on the computer thanks to Skype! If you have friends and family afar, I highly recommend this. You can download Skype for free on their website (google it) and then you can talk and see each other through your webcams and microphones. We use it all the time, even when he's at work. Some days he just asks me to leave Skype on while I'm doing chores and hanging out with the girls so he can hear what's going on in the house and see us walk by the computer every now and then. Yes, I know, we're creepy like that! So this morning, I got a surprise Skype call from him. I didn't even think they had computer access there, so it was a pleasant surprise. We'll get to see each other every day now! He said things are going great. He's doing VBS with 10-13 yr olds these first 3 days. He said many of the kids had never even seen a swimming pool before so they spent the day being lifeguards b/c none of the kids could swim! He's having fun. And so am I. We went to St. Pete yesterday to the beach and to eat at one of my favorite places, Sea Critters. It was fun. We're going to Seaworld later in the week. We're surving without daddy, but we miss him terribly! He sent me this picture of him. He's the bald guy! (Bald is sexy!!!) The guy next to him is our youth praise and worship leader at our church.

Stef and I were talking about driving down sometime and meeting all of you! That would be so fun to do! It's amazing how we all found each other and live in the Orlando-ish area. We need a planning committee! hee! :o) Love the shoes by the way...how can you be a girl and not have light up princess' on your feet?
I tried leaving a message here earlier but it didn't work...not that you need to know that but I just wanted you to know I was the first to leave a comment but it didn't work. LOL! I must be PMS-ing I am getting territorial. Ha,Ha!!! But what I wanted to say about your blog was...
It is so much better when you are able to communicate with your hubbies while they are gone!!! I can relate.
I also have to say for the record I am the connector between these bloggers (see nickel mom comment). I just laugh at how the connections work. First, I admit Heather started it all. I read her blog all the time. Then I got a blog and wagners family got a blog (I have known her for about 12 years now through church connections) then i found Stef's blog through wagner and she got connected to all my regular blogging buds. And well her buddies got connected. In this web there may be another connection but I think I was the conduit.
wait...I thought you were in Texas. Oh well, guess I am confused. Unless there is a ST. Pete in Texas.
Skype is wonderful. We have been able to see John's dad in his hospital bed through Skype. Depressing, but satisfying. I so can't spell anymore. Did I spell that word right?
I hope you are enjoying your time. When are you going to Texas?
Just saw your page today and had to comment. Being miitary family skype or any other web camera program is wonderful!! My husband was deployed last Christmas, but because of wonderful technology he was able to "join" us eve though he was thousands of miles away. It's nice to leave it on even while doing mundane daily tasks :)
I love being connected!
sent you an email to the facebook email you posted!
