My Husband, My Hero

My husband never reads my blog. I know, can you believe it? He doesn't know what he's missing! So I want to just take a moment to tell you all what an INCREDIBLE man I have the privilege of being married to. I've had a series of emotional days here lately. Don't know why. It's not my "time" if you know what I mean. Could be those dern birth control pills I guess. Whatever the case, he has totally stepped in and shielded me and protected me from the fierey darts being thrown by satan lately. I can't tell you all the bad things that have happened to me lately. It's INSANE! But he has just completely wrapped me up with his love and tenderness by saying what I need to hear when I need to hear it, by giving me the affection I crave (without trying to get in my "bidness"...don't act like you don't know what I'm talking about!) He speaks my love language by putting his creativity into buying and making me gifts. Very thoughtful gifts.

This weekend, I am attending a women's conference here in town and today was crazy with working and then being gone all night. But when I walked through the door tonight, I smelled popcorn. And that may not mean anything to you, but I immediately knew what that meant. It meant that he created a fun daddy/daughter night for him and the girls with popcorn, movies, playing in the tent, and snugglin' on the couch together. And not only that, but the house is CLEAN, cleaner than when I left! It's wonderful to be able to leave my girls with daddy for the weekend and not have a care in the world, because I know he makes it fun for them and they're getting quality bonding time together. Honey bun, I don't know if you'll ever read this but if you do...I ADORE YOU! Your love for me is a total reflection of God's love for His people. And that's what a marriage should be! I'm so proud to be married to you!!!

Love! Love! Love!

You have been blessed. Thank God for answered prayer. I prayed for 20+ years that God was preparing the special man for my daughter and now am praying the same for my granddaughters. Cary is really special. I see his love for you and the girls every time I am around him. There has been special times over the years that I have seen yours and the girls eyes just twinkle when he walks in the room. I love to see Lexi and Ashton crawl up in his arms and he pours out that special daughter father love. It is wonderful knowing that the people I love the most have the perfect example of God's love, caring for them every day. Love you Cary!!!!

Cole cannot wait to be apart of the family. How cool would it be to have a robot for your father-in-law?

Anyway, I totally know what's it like to feel protected by your man in times of hardship. What a blessing! Cary is a great guy and you have been given a beautiful gift in your marriage. How awesome that you are cherishing it. And those kids are adorable.

Have a great time at the women's retreat.

Honey Bun,

Contrary to comman belief, I do read your blogs from time to time especially ones like this. I am sure to read this one at least once a day for a little pick me up and a good head swelling. Also contrary to comman belief I am not perfect. I made a mistake one time. One time... ha ha ha! I am truly blessed to be married to a women like you you are beautiful and cute at the same time. You are brilliant (smart and creative coupled with comman sense.) You are caring and giving (the perfect Mom) You have accomplished many great things in the short 34 years you have been on this earth. The most astonishing thing that you have achieved is whipping me into shape. What do you know... you can teach a old dog new tricks. God started a work in me 28 years ago and you are finishing me off, um uh I mean helping to complete me. "You complete me." ;-) All joking aside. I Love You and you make me want to be a better person. I can't wait for the rest of our lives. Oh, yeah, and remember... If you ever leave me, I am going with you.

Love Always,

Cary
